I’ve got a reputation to uphold, apparently. A few light-hearted jabs at my recent adventures in running has me labelled as the guy who does “crazy” things… like run four consecutive races culminating in a marathon, and oh-you’re-not-running-an-ultra this year, why not? I thought I would grasp onto a little of that spirit, and –no joke– kick off April with a bit of a running challenge to myself. Every day. To hit the pavement for at least four klicks of distance every day next month (starting tomorrow, of course) and barring injury or epic illness, not miss a single day in April. Foolish? Crazy? Or just yearning for spring? You tell me.
I wrote about this a while back, but we’ve been recording (at least) five seconds of video every day of 2013. Each month I’ve been compiling a “5 Seconds of _______ (insert month)” video that rolls and cuts an often very random summary of that month, set to music, and not-sloppily produced either… if I say so myself. To boot, we haven’t missed a single day. The really good news: as of today we have less than 50 days to go in this massive effort. I, for one, will be both a little sad and a lot happy when it’s done; It’s been a lot of work, but a lot more fun.
