Karin took the time to label one roll of the wedding pictures — now available for happy.fun.viewing online. Astute eyes will note that the first few photos are of Karin and Alice facing.off in a heated duel of DDR. I suggested I might have sold these, but — unashamed — Karin released them to the viewing public for free. I doubt Alice will be rushing out to buy it, but I found the mix that I had been mentioning to Karin earlier: if perhaps she became more of a DDR Freak (apparently a term of flattery — I don’t know I just work here) she will need to find a store selling it. I wandered over to TRU at lunch (and saw Poornima, by the way — cool!) and noticed that they sell the game for about 50 bucks. Now about usenet….
I was rumaging earlier and discovered a thought-lost cd with Rollercoaster Tycoon. It installed reluctantly on my tired machine, and I spent most of my pathetic Saturday evening building imaginary theme parks. And now I discover that it is daylight savings tonight, so I lose an hour sometime between when I go to bed and when I get up. Why couldn’t they put DST on – say – a tuesday afternoon around 3 pm so I could leave work an hour early. No, they put it on the weekend so I get to go back to work an hour earlier. Who invented THAT rule.
Now I am watching Good Eats on Food and thumbing thru a book on how to be a wedding MC I picked up this evening. I figured I had better get some advice on that topic as the wedding is coming up really fast.
Chris and I played a four hour game of Risk last night over Pizza. I thought beer would have been a good idea too, but the game is complex enough without putting mild intoxication into the equation. It was a hard fought battle, but I was victorious. I am now – officially – the ruler of the world. Today: the earth. Tomorrow: the universe.
Besides that: it’s raining. And we’re going to catch a matinee of The Time Machine at 2.15. Perhaps a review, later…
