Just to be completely oddball about this whole fitness thing, I’ve decided to make it both more concrete and more abstract all at the same time. Concrete? Assign a quantitative goal. Abstract? Attach said quantitative goal to a random fiction and put said fiction into an electronic format.
Huh?
I’m a quantitative goal kind [...]

Two thousand seven is the year of incremental changes. A nudge here. A bump there. A baby step along the path to enlightenment. I’ve discussed this before. Maybe not directly, but I’ve discussed it. And with one month down, it’s time to start episode two: RUN.
As sad as it [...]
We’re contemplating deck. Specifically, we’re contemplating how and when to build one. We paid a visit to the hardware store last night, scoped out the options, chatted with a friendly, helpful service-guy, and bought a little bit of hardware to start the initial processes of a straight and true support structure. According to this life expectancy calculator I’m going to live to be the ripe old age of 91. That is, of course, barring any accidents with say, a raging stampede of water buffalo or permanent collapse of my intracellular cohesion due to a fundamental change in the laws of physics. That, and a [...]
Though hesitantly, I think I may have (very recently) signed up for more than one set of physical activites for the upcoming summer. Of course that’s counting neither the numerous hikes and outdoor adventures that Karin has already planned nor the exercise in packing, moving, unpacking, and the yardwork associated with a brand new [...]
