June moves into the home stretch! And onward we push through those thirty posts nearing the end of what I’ve been writing every year this month. For the fifth year in a row I’m back to a month of daily blogging: each day a new post on a new topic, but on the same blog-per-day topic as last year, creating another set of Those 30 Posts in June. Today, that post just happens to be about something that I want:
To Share… Homegrown Ginger Style
About a month ago astute readers may recall that I finally harvested the big pot of ginger I’d been growing. It had sat in our house maturing for about two years and I decided that as spring emerged it might be time to break it up and do something with it.
I harvested a few good-sized clumps and then replanted the rest.
But as promised I took four smaller pots and put some of the leftover pieces in those, offering to give them away: to share some potted ginger.
Good news! As you can see from the second photo the first of the smaller pots has burst a sprout of promising ginger plant from the soil…
And on that note… Happy June, see you in July!
