June moves into the home stretch! And onward we push through those thirty posts nearing the end of what I’ve been writing every year this month. For the fifth year in a row I’m back to a month of daily blogging: each day a new post on a new topic, but on the same blog-per-day topic as last year, creating another set of Those 30 Posts in June. Today, that post just happens to be about something that I want:
To See… This New Movie, Because…
We bribe our kid, see.
If she gets good grades she gets a reward. Positive reinforcement, yes. An excuse for her to push herself to try a little harder than she otherwise might at school, yes. A way to curb the insistent “can we go see [insert movie title here]” begging that happens with any and every animated film trailer that appears on Youtube… yes.
That said, it’s a new Pixar film and I kinda want to see it too.
So, seeing this movie has become something of a thermometer for the end of school report card: if I get to see it in the theatre it means she did pretty well (mostly As) and we get to go. If I need to wait until it comes out on home video… it means some serious conversations at our house.
Thus, you can see why I kinda want to see this new movie…
