Oh, look… June! And there was something I was forgetting… ah, right: those thirty posts I write every year in June. That again. For the fifth year in a row I’m back to a month of daily blogging: each day a new post on a new topic, but on the same blog-per-day topic as last year, creating another set of Those 30 Posts in June. Today, that post just happens to be about something that I’ve:
Eaten… New Barbecue Fodder
The old faithful barbecue we bought shortly after returning from Vancouver eleven years ago now finally met it’s timely end. It was more rust than anything and it would have been easier to grill food over an open gas line lit on fire (not that I’d do that) than it was to cook another summer’s worth of deliciousness there.
So we sprung for a new grill about six weeks ago and we’ve been enjoying the awesomeness that comes with (a) new and (b) functioning tools.
We’re largely the kinds of people who eat more home-cooked food than either restaurant or pre-packaged meals (though they occasional sneak into our rotation too) so having a spring and summer of grilling awesomeness is a nice break from a long winter of shake-and-bake or taco Tuesdays.
Long live the BBQ!
