I find that my interest in Minecraft comes and goes. Unlike my daughter who finds time to build… and build… and build at a consistent and prodigious pace, I poke around for a week here and there, then log off for weeks more. I’m inside one of those weeks of resurgence. And I think my failing interest was simply in that we’d built so much on our server that the challenge was waning. So, this is what I did. I dumped most of my supplies. I picked a direction. Then I walked, and walked, and walked on our map for an entire night and day cycle. And I started again in the blocky wilderness of some random island forest biome with lots of mobs and scant resources. Result: been playing a lot the last few days. Must have been something to do with the challenge of it all, I guess.
