Once more it is June. Again. And again I embark upon that epic effort of daily blogging, take three, wherein I call upon myself for a kind of rambling focus, picking from a list of daily topics, and with neither planning nor advance writing, strive to pepper this blog with the free-thought, free-writing wonder that is another one of Those 30 Posts in June. Today, that post just happens to be:
June 7th // Something You Have Failed
chasing rainbows (idiom, common) [chey-sing | reyn-bohz] an expression of trying to achieve something that is either not possible or largely impractical
We all have that list of really big things we’ve dropped the ball on. Our epic failures. Our should haves. Should not haves. Slumps, bumps, and regrets. This is not that.
Be kind: after all, acknowledging our shortcomings is the first step, right?
I’ve struggled with…
flossing daily | taking more photos | doing my part for the environment | composting more | watching less television | writing creatively more often | keeping track of old friends | teaching my daughter to fish | keeping track of old co-workers | keeping up with my professional development | yoga | washing the windows | cleaning the shed | cleaning my office | cutting back on sweets | cutting back on caffeine | busing it more | swimming more | cycling more | hiking more | star-gazing more | hosting parties | attending super-awesome-games nights | tweeting | learning jQuery | shortening my reading list | writing letters | writing back | checking my tire pressure | geocaching with my daughter | tuning, tweaking, refining | packing a lunch | taking down the christmas lights
…and that last one I’m gonna do this weekend.
