The clinic starts tomorrow. Not that I’ll be going to ACTUAL clinic nights for a while. Those standard meetups are Thursday nights and that happens to be the same night and time when Karin dances. So, until her class concludes for the summer, I’ll need to be content with drop ins with my new group and solo dashes later into those spring and summer evenings. But it all starts tomorrow, even though I’ve been training for it for going on six weeks.. officially? Tomorrow.
So, I counted, and since starting this effort I’ve only missed six days of running. Well… “missed” is the wrong word. Technically I have not missed a single ‘scheduled’ day of running. But since I’ve given myself (only) a couple days of non-running per week, those non-running days (of a possible forty jaunts) total a meager six. Tonight — if I don’t make it out because my brother is in town for work — will be seven.
Consequently, the result of all that running means the new distance tally for the virtual mega run is now at 143.6 KM as of last night’s hill training. For those of you relying on the visual, that means I’ve run from the corner near my house, out of town on the Henday, down the QE2, turned off on 2A through Lacombe and am just rolling into the north end of Red Deer, probably for a very brief stay.
This map is going to get really tiny, really quick. (Or, I’m going to need to write more in these updates to wrap text around some very long maps.)
Speaking of… for those who HAVE been following along, I am currently (and virtually) off to Calgary. But seeing as how I’ll probably hit that destination sometime in late May or early June (I optimistically muse) I need some suggestions from there. This is where you comment and offer a next destination; It can be East, West or South — but continentally attached and preferably reachable by the end of the year. Just thinking aloud here, but its good to have an ACHIEVABLE goal, right?
