insert year four, press play…

Yesterday was the anniversary. Precisely, it has been a total of three full years since we took possession of our humble little house and began the tedious process of filling it with depreciable consumer products. Yes, the effort continues. This has definitely been the longest we’ve been anywhere since escaping the nest. Three years, in fact, was longer than we lasted through all of the lost.in.vancouver years, a glimmer of history that seems not much more than a dusty old memory these days, my very best reference the occasional strolls I take through the archives of this very blog. Three years was longer than any particular stretch I made through University, taking a two year meander through college, a two year galloping-trot through science, and a two year balloon ride through the faculty of education. Three years was longer than perplexing tedium that was high school. Three years was longer than those long, long, days of junior high. And previous to that, three years was a double-digit percentage of my little life and not a timespan that was comprehensible.

I guess we’re going for four now.

three years? Just? Why, I spent way more than three years in grad school… Maybe I shouldn’t say that too loudly.

I thought education was about quality, not quantity. I spent two years in kindergarten and you don’t see me bragging!
