Don’t worry if you still don’t understand completely, just yet. It remains deliberately confusing and vague. I try to pull the bits into a swirling whole and see how the pieces land before I move onwards. There are scattered bits of plot and idea, meandering fragments of character and concept, and traces of threaded notions clashing in the whirlwind of it all.

I used to hope that dipping my toe into the ocean would anoint it with a sense of connection to something larger. I discovered later on that the idea is to avoid getting wet. Build a boat. Don’t sink. Stay dry.

Rule #47
Did you know that when you make pizza you need to flip the crust in the air to allow it to stretch on its own. If you roll it, pull it, force it there will be holes. If something wants to be big, let it be big of its own accord.
