Sizzling and Serializing

or, two quips on writing

First, I mentioned a few posts back that my writing was not — exactly — going ignored. At least not in a permanent sense. I was going to elaborate on that a little more. I’ve been poking away at a something I’ve loosely defined as A Tapestry of Experimental Fiction, right now a wiki-based project that I hope I can flesh out into some detail. The goal is to strive for episodic elements that build upon the story, explain aspects of the created universe, unveil elements of the foundation of the whole story, and inevitably lead to the creation of an interactive, invented canon that entraps the reader in a unique work of fiction.

For those who might actually care, I’ll unveil it soon. Promise.

Second, December has held off a little longer than our first snowfall. Seeing as how last year I turned December into Blog Every Day Month, I plan to uphold the tradition yet again and partake in the round two. That, for those of you without calendars handy, starts Saturday. And considering I’m at work for a total of TEN whole days in December I should have plenty of time to keep pace with the effort.

For those of you with blogs, feel free to play along. Or not. Your choice.

I’ve been coming up with writing exercises for myself. I may decide to join you in this. I have to work considerably more than ten days in December, so I’m not going to be too hard on myself if I can’t make it.

And here I thought I was the writing police.
