Ten Topics – Take 1 (The Ask)
I came across an interesting blog post this morning called “100 Blog Topics I Hope YOU Write“, wherein the author of one particular (apparently popular) blog challenges his readers to answer a list of topics that HE would like others to give him responses to. Not in comments. Not in emails. Write a blog post, he asks.
I thought that was a neat idea, but I’d take a slightly different spin on it…
I’m going to list ten topics. If you have a blog, I challenge you to (a) pick one, (b) claim it in the comments for this post, (c) write on your blog, and (d) comment again with the link. When I get an reply to all ten, I’ll repost this list with each article linked back to the “response” post.
The Rules:
Answer for yourself, NOT ME. (In other words: “my” or “I” refers to YOU.) Don’t just write a simple answer. Aim for a real response. Answer and explain yourself. And DON’T RESPOND IN THE COMMENTS. BLOG IT! IF you don’t have a blog, too bad. You can’t play.
And, by the way, feel free to copy the idea and challenge back.
The Ten Topics:
- If I had to choose between being good or evil, I would pick…
- Three vital components to a good story are…
- If I could learn a new language it would be…
- If I had one year to live, and could go anywhere on Earth, I would go…

- My lucky number is…
- How much money would be too much money?
- If I could obliterate one piece of technology from society, it would be…
- Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
- My five rules for naming a kid are…
Be as serious or silly as you wish. It’s an open field, but stay on topic. Go!
