Phase three of the Wandering Week began yesterday as I found myself adding another three hundred clicks onto the odometer and heading South East towards the lower corner of the province. (Did I mention it took us nine more hours over seven hundred kilometers to get from Penticton to Calgary on Sunday? Oh, it did.) After a couple of chillin’ days in Derek and Shannon’s house, then another cool evening in the air conditioned hotel room here, I’m (mentally) preparing to spend two full days at the Medicine Hat Stampede tending a booth where there is: - no air conditioning. I’m hoping, however, this is not much more than a casual babysitting job and that (other than refilling brochures) I can make myself available at “peak” times and otherwise find a cool place to sit and get some work done. Words I see from where I’m Sitting: Guest Directory I know you don’t care, but the search engines love it. |
