I was thumbing through some odd links this morning, and came across an interesting set of articles on parenting and fatherhood. Since it my last non-dad father’s day coming up this weekend — the last in which I’ll be simply a son, and not a dad myself — I thought this might be interesting for some retrospective enjoyment later on… How to be a Great Father - 12 Awesome Tips: The basis for this article is basically that you shouldn’t be a stooge around your kids. Do the obvious. Spend some time and energy with them from birth on, and don’t be a selfish bugger. This includes everything from playing, reading, and personal care. I guess it seems pretty obvious from my perspective, here, now, with a completely academic outlook on the subject. I hope I can follow a few of these — if not all — when the opportunity presents itself. Nothing specific here, but it looks like an interesting site. I signed up for the electronic newsletter (which is apparently tailored to the age of the baby for specific advice and information). In that same spirit, I could tell you all about the tonnes of photos I added to the gallery this weekend, but I’ll highlight one in particular (in theme with this entry): I added the album above (along with a whole bunch more) to highlight the ongoing nursery-building efforts. I’ll keep it chronological and up to date as we paint and decorate. If that isn’t interesting for you, there are also photos from Chris and Brad’s Crazy Henday Walk (Chris also took some slick pics), Updates to the Summer 2007 gallery, and that whopping collection of Recovered Images that I stumbled upon online after Googling myself on Friday afternoon. |

Did you know… >> ...that I randomly change the links on the side of this page - once in a while, of course.
Last of the London Pics. Really. >> It's been over a week since we got back from vacation and I've had this nagging task hanging over my head. I know most of you don't care, but I just gotta get these pictures posted so I can get on
I’m tending house… >> ...it's raining here, half the office is escaping early to do various exciting things, and I have a meeting as soon as Shawn gets off the phone. So I am putting links on this page. My enthralling life. Perhaps
