We accomplished an entire host of progressness this weekend with respect to the garden. Not only was I tempted to plant a few more fruit-bearing plants (naughty, naughty) such as a cluster of new tomatoes and a butternut squash, but we spent some coin at the greenhouse managing to fill our planters with a variety of flowers and herbs and stuff a short row of columnar aspen along the back fence (where they will eventually grow tall and narrow to form a nice privacy screen) in a brand new bed I spent Saturday morning digging, mulching, boosting, and otherwise-prepping. The above images link to a small collection of new photos I uploaded. On a lark, I thumbed through last years photos of the same theme and was seriously amazed by the impact a year of care and back-breaking (often literally) work can accomplish. |
