snowdreams etc…

Around six on Friday evening I found myself at the Olive Garden in Langley. I had braved the end-of-week traffic, picked Karin up from work, and we were contemplating a weekend out of the city. Three barrels of tossed green salad and a forgettable pasta dish later, we were en route East, to Kawkawa lake near Hope.

Moments of interest included:

:: Guacamole Dorritos. Who would have thunk it?

:: Karin’s harsh lesson in physics as she learns why not to pass a sanding truck on the highway at 120 kph. (I’ll need to check Quicken to see what our budget is for windshield repair.)

:: Thousand Island hamburgers for lunch. Karin’s favorite, right after McDonalds. She’s lovin’ it. Not.

:: Lindsay discovering her frustration with snowboarding and repeated attempts to burrow into the mountain with her face.

:: Fondly remembered NES epics and finding out that nearly every single one Karin’s co-workers (and misc others) are better than I at Super Mario Brothers 1.

:: Lisa’s camera-phobia. Look! Almost no pcitures.

:: Charades with a theme. Can anyone say Johnny English? Battlestar Galactica?

:: Apple pie for breakfast. Well, it beats a pizza pretzel!

And there are some photos in the gallery, if anyone is interested. Oh, and the photoquest theme this week is gadget… you know the drill.
