A mixture of things, both bland and spicy, has left me silent.

the deep plunge of it

We have been debating it. I have been mourning it. All have endured. None were impressed. And the end is now in sight for the pitiful black box that is my computer. Karin and I (though mostly I) puzzled over the deepest echos of Dell last night, and came away a few dollars poorer and a notebook-on-order richer.

Yes, that is right. We have FINALLY purchased a new computer, almost seven years to the day after my current excuse for a machina was etched into my life. The dying monitor was the clincher, but the constant upgrades, and the unbearably slow loading of images from the crispy digiCam was also a factor.

And soon: freedom. I will be out and aboot. And come November: NaNoWriMo may be something that I DON’T need to do on my PDA…

A visit from my cousin and her husband this past weekend, prompted the thought in my mind: Where’s Stephen? He’s been awfully quiet lately. Maybe he’s been using his computer for other things…
