lions, and tigers, and aliens… oh, my!
my recent photo expedition: a lunch break tour of the inner city False Creek park below Granville Bridge. The results were most envigorating, and resulted in the capture of some of the images which can be found on my gallery page, here:

For some odd reason, it seemed that wherever I wandered in the park, I came across stranger and stranger flowers. Investigate… if you dare. (No, Sharyl. There are no spider pictures to scare you!)
And as I’m speaking of photo expeditions, I took yesterday’s opportunity of a sunny afternoon interlude between work and cubs to visit Kitsilano Beach with my digicam in hand. A stop at Quiznos for some dinner, a newspaper, and a nice spot to bury my feet in the sand and I almost was ready to skip the evening’s planned activities. I relented, however, and put my shoes back on to walk down the beach and snap some photos. Unfortunately for all you skinseekers out there, this amature photographer is still much to shy and protective of his camera to start snapping photos of the local wildlife — who’s over.roided boyfriends might not take kindly to such “focused” attention. I did take a great many water and rock pics — none of which are posted anywhere online, though.
And following that tangent: summer being in the air (almost 30 celcius here today) the RCMP have set up a beach patrol. To paraphrase Mojo’s Bruce Allen, these guys are hardly the Baywatch crew, and instead tear around the beaches on four-wheel ATVs looking for rowdies to bother. I had the “honour” of seeing them in action, as (at least) three swooped in on an looming fist-fight that was breaking out in the parking lot near the Kits Beach concession.
brad wins again
Just had to brag: picked up a slush at lunch on my way back to work. Mac’s Froster contest netted me a coupon for a free sugary ice-drink. Sweet!
