That writer’s itch is setting in again. I went out at lunch to look for some kind of powder or ointment, but all I came back with was a little coil notebook and a handful of bizarre ideas for a new story. Theoretically I should be revising my novel this month — as that was originally the plan: write in November, edit in February — but I’m lacking the motivation, and I don’t think I’m far enough removed from it yet. (It was just a two months ago.) As a result of spending a few short.long days wandering around a variety of dutch cities, I was cursed with a new muse and dolloped with a strong dose of inspired creative energy — though when I say inspired, I use it in the self-descriptive quantitative sense, and not the critical qualitative sense.
I don’t know if I’ll find any time to write though. There is at least one person who may not be amused by another vacation, even if this one is an entirely mental one.

Carolyn returned from lunch today with a healthy stack of photographs which — after a lot of casual nudging and frustrating encouragement by me — mark the first of her adventures into the world of digital.to.print photography. She bought a digicam nearly six months ago now, but has only now bothered to learn the fine art of uploading them to the developer’s website. It made me want to get my hands on the 1000+ pictures I took while in Europe, and do some serious sorting and maybe see how some of them print out. I think the CD is in the mail…

Stephen has been silent via email for the last couple of weeks. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that he took the plunge, packed up, and moved to frankfurt.de last weekish. Maybe if I write something here, he will send me an email to let me know how he’s doing. I could even post a message here, or something. [wink, wink, nudge, nudge...]
