Remember this article. It will be important later. So there’s a message on my office voicemail when I come back from lunch yesterday from one Coleman Jones, reporter slash researcher for CBC’s news investigation show Marketplace. I remember watching that show as a kid — for some reason — and as with much of the CBC programming that speckled my youth, these things usually come back to haunt me. Mr. Jones says, hi brad, I’ve found your webpage (yes, this webpage) — oh and sorry to contact you over the phone, by the way — but I’d like to ask you a few questions about something that you wrote… He leaves his number. And I call back. He asks me some questions. Apparently I gave the right answers. I’m just what they’re looking for. Now I’m going to be on television. Funny how that works. |
