on.interesting.emails Yesterday, it would seem, was a day of interesting emails. Perhaps it is the season, but I received about a dozen forwards yesterday. That’s 11 more than I usually get. On top of that, bill you entered with serial number like ANV01—86 has just been re-entered into the Where’s Willy? database.” Apparently this five dollar bill has made the incredible journey all the way down to the city of Richmond, British Columbia. Pretty sad, since I was probably the one who spent it there. I was told of a mythic bill — just a few weeks ago now — that made it all the way to KIngston, Ontario. Of it’s own accord. I had nothing to do with that one as that one left my paws months before I myself made it out east. I also received an email from the fine people at the Mirror Project, that vast gallery of digital self-portraits in reflective surfaces, who having received my recent submission, graciously agreed to post it along with the other four I have submitted in the past. First, some fast food joints appeared. Then, just recently, a drug store. Even more recently, a pizza joint emerged from the cold cement walls. And now — much to the long awaited anticipation — a new Booster Juice had it’s grand opening yesterday at the junction of where I change transit vehicles. How convenient is that? Karin and I celebrated by taking in a half.priced smoothy, riding the train through the rain and sitting in their big fluorescent chairs. Mmmm… smoothies. |
