It’s cold in our office today for some reason. And as lunch looms nearer and nearer, I’m starting to get a bit hungry. No one came to work today. Well, not NO ONE, but when only about half the staff are here it is quiet and strange. Sometimes I like that. Sometimes I don’t. I think today it’s kinda nice.
bruises and more await at the.end.of.the.rainbow
It’s Friday night, so rather than curling up with a good movie, or parking my sorry butt in front of the computer to count down the last ten thousand words of my novel, I get to go to judo. Ahh, the pain of running in circles and slamming my poor body onto the mats — repeatedly. I was freaking people out the other week when I came in and — hiking up my pant leg to reveal my calf — showed off my big purple bruises. I got kicked, or slipped, or smacked, or something. It wasn’t fun. But everyone sort of moans a sympathy twang of pain, and THAT kind of pity can be its own reward.
