nothing too disturbing…
Nothing too disturbing happened at lunch. Jess magically appeared online and after a kind of spastic discussion we reached the conclusion that “wanting to be creative” and “finding the time to be creative” are two completely opposite concepts. After this glimpse of enlightenment, I helped Carolyn move some boxes and then went to Toys’R Us to play the video games they have on display. Unfortunately, free X-Box no longer feels guilty enough, so one of these days I’m going to have to go across the street to the Mercedes dealership and take something expensive for a testdrive. Sigh.
Cubs tonight, so the day is really just beginning.

I need a thread: any thread. I’m looking for some kind of inspired direction in which to take this silly article explaining complex genetics to the world. THREAD! Arg. I need a catch, a hook, a line, a sinker, and some simple pattern to link the spinning ideas to something solid and graspable. An analogy. A THREAD! It’s painfully painful. Where is the connection? Where is the logic? Oh, the humanity.
And still the dance continues around me. It will come. I still have over a week to ignore the patter from all around and focus on the task at hand. Sigh.
