It’s one of those days…

It’s one of those days where you need to stay in the sun to be warm. Step into the shade — for even the slightest glimmer — and you get cold. Carolyn just — finally — turned the fan off. I could have done it myself, but as they would — have — did say “the rest of us find it quite pleasant.” So I stay out of that shark-tank all together.

For some reason there is this idea floating about — a muse thing, or whatever — that has me thinking about stories and such. I don’t really like explaining that stuff here. It feels like a betrayal — a breach of trust for some sort of non-disclosure agreement I have with my muse, where I get the goods as long as I don’t open my mouth — play the keyboard — actually, physically write the words. So while I won’t give that precious information away yet, I will mention — again — that I’m having one of those weeks when some nagging thought is being fed into my brain and all I want to do is write it down. I won’t tell you how many times I have retyped this sentence. Imagine how much fun it will be to actually get the words of the story out.

…who was “miffed” — in her quasi-serious sort of fashion — that I wrote nothing of our Saturday adventure to visit Karin’s dutch relatives in Abbottsford. I could have — yes — could have. But, alas — woe is me — I didn’t, and so I will mention it now, and hopefully escape the wrathful reprocussions of not mentioning it earlier.
