The family has come and gone. I suppose — since they needed to be back at their job-things today — that they also managed to make it back to AB with minimal incident. In either case they have yet to call and tell me otherwise — and I haven’t received any frantic messages from my sister wonder where the heck they are — so my gut reaction is to wait until the inevitable phone call tonight while Karin and I are testing out the BBQ at the new apartment. Either way I’m sure there will be tales to tell.

Discovered at about mid-morning on Sunday that I had had an exhausting weekend. The obvious conclusion was to let the vegetation state engulf my brain: Karin agreed. We wound up downtown at Tinseltown to watch “The Bourne Identity” — even though we managed to get there a tad early and not-too-smartly went out wandering the streets around the theatre. Nothing too exciting happened, but when people are shooting-up as you walk casually by you know you’re not in one of the best parts of the city. The movie was enjoyable except for the funny little lady behind us who — probably in her 90s — should have gone to the disney flick next door and not the action/blood-fest her accomplices had chosen.

And, yeah, that ate up most of the day. Nice.

We began pondering some thoughts for nuptuals. Possible dates, etc. I like August 23rd, 2003. A year from this Friday. That sounds about right, no?
