holidays on.hold for a.while…

Back to the ol’ grind, as Thursday kicks into high gear: lots of news to tell, but most of it will probably be passed thorugh the grapevine before anyone reads this. If you really want to know the details you could check out the competition and look at 1938.

summary.of.events:

On friday I drive to the Shushwap with Karin through loads of traffic. Scarf a too spicy sub in Hope, and arrive a bit early.

Saturday saw a pile of interesting events including mini golf (photos to arrive shortly), ice cream, some relaxation, and an engagement.

On sunday is rained but we went golfing despite: famous folks and their children on the hole ahead — and I finished the first book outside the trailer that evening.

Monday arrived and we stole back into Vancouver which took a long time with the long-weekend traffic. Karin’s folks were close behind and some food at salathai rounded off the day.

One quiet tuesday landed us first on good ol’ Granville Island, and later in Steveston: restaurant #1 left much to be desired and we walked out after ordering because of the wonderful service. A much friendlier fishNchips place down the street provided lunch: supper was at chezBrad with some homegrilled salmon.

Yesterday, aka tuesday found us hiking to see a lighthouse (again, photos to follow): when we found Karin after her day of toil at the office, it was off for all.you.can.eat.sushi and a long walk to the beach with her parents for the fireworks.

So yes… it has been a busy couple of days.
